WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in sixth place after the first round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship at River Greens G.C. on Friday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 306 which is just one stroke behind fifth place Heidelberg. Otterbein leads the event with a team score of 289.
Sophomore
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led the way for Mount Union with a 73, senior
Owen Hinkle (Loudonville) and freshman
Vincent Borros (Strongsville) also both carded rounds in the 70s, shooting 75 and 77 respectively. Freshman
Caden Buxton (West Middlesex, Pa.) rounded out the Raiders team score with an 81.
The Raiders are back in action again tomorrow for the second day of the OAC Championship at River Greens G.C. in West Lafayette.
