GREENWOOD, Ind. – Mount Union had five athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's At Large Team.
Three senior men's lacrosse players in
Alec Blazer (Canonsburg, Pa. / Canon-McMillan),
Liam Erwin (Victor, N.Y. / Victor) and
Dane Matuscin (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Canon-McMillan), sophomore wrestler
Steven Marra (Salem / West Branch) and sophomore golfer Brian Meyers (Wadsworth).
Erwin started all 17 games for the Raiders finishing third on the team in goals with 32 and pickup up 16 assists with 21 ground balls. He is a three-time Academic All-OAC award honoree and a two-time CSC All-District honoree.
Blazer started all 17 games leading the team in caused turnovers with 24 and picked up 36 ground balls.
He is a three-time Academic All-OAC award honoree and a two-time CSC All-District honoree and was a honorable mention All-OAC selection this season.
Matuscin played in 16 games for Mount Union finishing second on the team in ground balls with 65 while picking up 11 assist for the Raiders. He is a three-time Academic All-OAC award honoree and was a second team All-OAC selection this season.
Marra finished his season 25-7 overall with 17 pins earning him second team All-OAC. This is his first time earning the CSC All-District award and Academic All-OAC.
Meyers finished third this season at the OAC Championships leading Mount Union earning first team All-OAC. This is his first time earning the CSC All-District award and Academic All-OAC.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 9. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
