DOVER, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in first place after the final round of the Wooster Gatorade Collegiate at Zoar Village Golf Course on Sunday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 593 (295-298) which was seven strokes ahead of second place John Carroll and Wooster.
Junior
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led the way for Mount Union, finishing with a two-round score of 139 (71-68) which earned him medalist honors. Freshman duo
Austin Mariani (Kinsman / Badger) and
Jase Libb (Beloit / West Branch) both finished with a two-round score of 151, shooting 78-73 and 74-77 respectively. Freshman
Austin Wilhoit (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) rounded out the Raiders' team score with a two-round score of 152 (72-80).
The Raiders return to action on Monday, September 8 for the first round of the Malone Glenmoor Fall Classic at Glenmoor Country Club in Canton.
