ALBION, Mich. – Mount Union's women's soccer team lost on the road against Albion 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.
The Britons (7-1) would strike first when Diane Hurtado found the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead in the 19
th minute.
The Purple Raiders (2-2-2) would answer with a goal of their own in the 63
rd minute when junior
Ella Dinwiddie (Medina / Wadsworth) scored off an assist from senior
Madeline Boulos (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Deer Lake) to tie the game at a goal apiece.
Albion would reclaim the lead in the 77
th minute when Ceci Irwin scored to take a 2-1 lead, Mount Union wouldn't be able to answer over the final 13 minutes of action as the Britons would go on to win 2-1.
The Raiders are on the road again tomorrow, travelling to Adrian, Mich. to take on the Bulldogs at 4 p.m.
