ERIE, Pa. – Mount Union's men's soccer team played Penn State-Behrend to a 1-1 draw in a non-conference matchup Wednesday evening.
The Purple Raiders (5-1-2) struck first when junior
Alex Depperschmidt (Mansfield / Lexington) was able to find the back of the net in the 17
th minute off an assist from junior
Dom Kustura (Willowick / Eastlake North) to take a 1-0 lead.
The Lions (4-2-2) would score the game tying goal in the 82
nd minute when Owen Petersen scored to tie the game at a goal apiece.
Neither team would be able to pull ahead over the final eight minutes of action as they would go on to tie 1-1.
The Raiders stay on the road next when they travel to Center Valley, Pa. to take on DeSales on Saturday, September 27 at 1 p.m.
