GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania—The Mount Union men's volleyball team fell on the road in straight sets, 25-20, 25-21 and 25-19, to Thiel on Tuesday night.
The Purple Raiders (2-2) were led by freshman
Sam Morrison (St. Peters, MO / Fort Zumwalt South) with eight kills.
Freshman
Justin Peters (Pittsburgh, PA / Canon-McMillan) led Mount Union with 20 assists while Peters and junior
Peyton Koszelak (Eden, N.Y.) each had five digs.
Thiel (4-4) was led by Kaleb Proudfoot with 13 kills, Eli Olszowka with 22 assists and Ezra Oesterling with six digs.
Mount Union had 27 kills on 68 attempts tonight for a hitting percentage of .250 while Thiel had 45 kills on 81 attempts for a hitting percentage of .420.
Mount Union returns home on Friday taking on No. 7 nationally ranked UC Santa Cruz at 6 pm.
