AKRON, Ohio – Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team finished in first after the first day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at Ocasek Natatorium on Thursday evening.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 304 which is 108 points ahead of second place Baldwin Wallace.
All-OAC Finishers
- 200-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of senior Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark), freshman AJ Sliman (Amherst / Marion L. Steele), freshman Chloe Parr (Brunswick) and senior Isabelle Parr (Brunswick) won the event with a time of 1:37.74
- 800-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of sophomore Riley McCombs (New Middletown / Springfield Local), sophomore Peyton Sisler (Warren / Howland), freshman Rydell Reif (Buffalo, N.Y. / Sweet Home) and Parr, C. won the event with a time of 8:03.46
- 500-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event for the third straight year with a time of 5:19.54, Reif finished second with a time of 5:24.67 and freshman Grace Blachly (Powell / Olentangy Liberty) finished third with a time of 5:26.63
- 200-yard individual medley: McCombs won the event with a time of 2:11.55
- 50-yard freestyle: Parr, I. finished second with a time of 24.25
- 400-yard medley relay: team consisting of Sliman, McCombs, Parr, I. and Calaway won the event with a time of 4:01.54

The Raiders are in action again tomorrow for the second day of the OAC Championships with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. followed by diving at 2 p.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
