CINCINNATI, Ohio—Mount Union men's volleyball junior libero
Peyton Koszelak (Eden, N.Y.) picked up his 1,000
th career dig and broke his own school record for single season digs with 375 this afternoon.
Mount Union won the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League matchup against Mount St. Joseph in four sets, 25-16, 23-25, 25-21 and 25-23, Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders (10-16, 3-4 MCVL) were led by
Luke Pemberton with 15 kills with
Owen Geissman finishing with nine.
Jack Brown picked up 21 assists while
Justin Peters had 17 assists, 10 digs and eight kills in the match.
Koszelak picked up 26 digs and became the second Purple Raider to cross over the 1,000-dig mark in the match while breaking his school record for digs in a season.
Mount St. Jospeh (6-11, 1-6 MCVL) was led by Carson Reed with 13 kills and 13 digs while Brayden Bass finished the day with 33 assists.
Mount Union returns home for its final two regular season games on Friday, April 3rd and Saturday, April 4th.
