Men's Lacrosse: Talon Osmun Grabs 100th Career Point in Home Loss

ALLIANCE, Ohio--The Mount Union men's lacrosse team fell to Saint Vincent College 14-12 at home Wednesday night.

The Purple Raiders (2-2) were led by Talon Osmen with six goals. Osmun picked up career point 100 becoming the fastest Purple Raider to that accolade.

Sly Sundown finished the night with two goals and one assist while Alec Feigel also scored two goals. Noah Grigson and Vinny Marszalek each finished the night with one goal each.

Dylan Rondeau was in goal making twelve saves while Sean Hanson finished with four ground balls.

Saint Vincent College (3-2) was led by Calvin Rose with five goals while Garrett Ritts was in goal making nine saves.

Saint Vincent was the first to strike with four goals early in the first quarter. Despite the rough start for the Raiders, Marszalek was able to respond with a goal, followed by another from Mays. Saint Vincent scored two more goals before the first quarter ended, making the score 6-2.

The Raiders started off the second quarter strong with two goals from Grigson and Osmun, but Saint Vincent responded with two more goals, making the score 8-4 at halftime.

The third quarter was an exciting one for Mount. It began with a goal by Sundown, met by a goal from Saint Vincent. After that quick answer, the Raiders went on to score four more goals thanks to Sundown, Osmun, and Feigel, and held Saint Vincent to only one more goal, closing the scoring gap.

After both teams scored 2 apiece late into the fourth quarter, it was anybody's game. Saint Vincent ended up scoring twice more and Osmun scored once, leaving the score 14-12.
