Men's Lacrosse: Raiders Get Back in Win Column Against Hanover

ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union men's lacrosse team got back into the win column with a 17-10 victory over Hanover (Ind.) on Saturday afternoon at Kehres Stadium.
 
The Purple Raiders (3-2) were led by Talon Osmun (Mattawan, Mich. / Mattawan) with six goals and three assists. Spencer Logsdon (Akron / Hoban) finished the day with four goals.
 
Sly Sundown (Akron, N.Y. / Akron) had three goals and three assists, Alec Feigel (Pittsburgh, PA / North Hills) finished with two goals, while Noah Grigson (Portsmouth, R.I. / Bishop Stang) and Dylan Lulow (Painesville / Riverside) each scored a goal.
 
Dylan Rondeau (Penfield, N.Y. / Penfield) finished the game with eight saves in 55 minuets of play with Nikolai Lopatka (Rochester, N.Y. / Penfield) winning 11 of 16 from the face off.
 
Hanover (2-3) was led by Jack Deweese with five goals with Matthew Hillard making 15 saves for the game.
 
Mount Union jumped out to a 3-0 lead with two goals from Osmun and a goal from Lulow. Hanover responded with two goals but another goal from Osmun ended the quarter giving Mount Union a 4-2 lead.
 
Mount Union began the second quarter on a 3-0 run again with a goal from Logsdon, Osmun and Sundown. Hanover got a goal before Feigel grabbed a goal for Mount Union leading 8-3. Both Hanover and Mount Union scored two more goals before the end of the quarter as Sundown and Osmun each scored for Mount Union making it 10-5.
 
Hanover came out of the halftime break with a goal but that was quickly responded by a goal from Logsdon. Another Hanover goal came before a 3-0 run to end the quarter by Mount Union with a goal from Sundown, Osmun and Grigson.
 
Both teams scored three goals over the final quarter as Logsdon picked up two and Feigel picked up one for Mount Union.
 
The Raiders will now head on the road for spring break taking on Franciscan at 7 pm on Wednesday, March 11th in Steubenville, OH.
