Men's Track and Field: Raiders Drop Two Top 15 NCAA Marks; Win Three at Otterbein Twilight

WESTERVILLE, Ohio—The Mount Union men's track and field team finished second overall and the top Division III team at the Otterbein Twilight meet Friday night.
 
Mount Union finished with 101 total team points just 13 behind Division II Ashland University.
 
The quartet of Josiah Hunter, Donovan Geiger, Brayden Shinault and Ryder Greenwood improved their 4x100-Meter relay time and won the meet with a time of 40.71 which is the top time in the country.
 
Brady Burrey won the javelin throw with a toss of 201-feet 4-inches which is ranked 13th in Division III currently.
 
Nick Franitti won the 400-Meter hurdles with a time of 54.45 and then finished third in the 110-Meter hurdles with a time of 14.42 and was the top Division III racer in both races.
 
Cale Borland and Liam Blake took second and fourth place in the 800-Meters with times of 1:54.72 and 1:55.54.
 
Trey Woodley finished second in the 400-Meters with a time of 48.73.
 
Greenwood finished third in the 200-Meters as well with a time of 21.64.
 
Kayden Tackett took home third in the 400-Meter hurdles with a time of 55.37.
 
Nick Wong grabbed fourth in the 5,000-Meters running a 15:13.20.
 
Colton Hanlon finished fifth in the pole vault with a leap of 14-feet 9.25-inches.
 
Mount Union will host the Mount Union Classic next week on Thursday before they head to the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship the following weekend in New Concord, Ohio at Muskingum University.
