CANTON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in third place at the Spring Phipps Memorial at Glenmoor Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 313 which was four strokes back of second place Malone. Walsh won the event with a team score of 292.
Junior
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led the way for Mount Union, finishing with a 75, freshman
Austin Mariani (Kinsman / Badger) also carded a round in the 70s, shooting a 77. Freshmen
Jase Libb (Beloit / West Branch) and
Austin Wilhoit (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) rounded out the Raiders team score, shooting an 80 and 81 respectively.
The Raiders return to action on Saturday, April 11 for the first round of the Mount Union Spring Invitational at Tannenhauf G.C. in Alliance.
