Track and Field: Raiders Win Four Events and Add Three Top 25 Marks at Last Chance Meet

ALLIANCE, Ohio- The mount Union track and field team picked up four event victories and three top 25 NCAA Division III marks while hosting the Mount Union Last Chance Meet Thursday afternoon.
 
Mackenzie Davis won the women's long jump with a leap of 18-feet 9.75-inches which is currently ranked tied for 14th in Division III.
 
Nick Franitti finished second in the 110-Meter hurdles and 400-Meter hurdles with times of 14.33 and 55.58. In the 110-Metre hurdles he is currently 23rd overall in Division III with the time he ran today.
 
In the prelims of the 100-Meter dash Josiah Hunter ran a 10.46 which is tied for 25th in Division III. In the finals Ryder Greenwood finished third while Hunter finished fifth with times of 10.59 and 10.66.
 
Brady Burrey won the men's javelin with a toss of 195-feet 5-inches.
 
Hunter, Greenwood and Burrey along with Donovan Geiger won the men's 4x100-Meter relay with a time of 41.13.
 
Callie Cyrus won the women's 800-Meters with a time of 2:24.38.
 
Mason Arth and Zach Stinson finished second and fifth in the decathlon with points of 5,586 and 4,990.
 
Elizabeth Funkhouser, Maria Alberts and Kristen Walters finished second through fourth with times of 1:01.78, 1:02.13 and 1:02.84 in the women's 400-Meters.
 
Nick Wong, Stephen Ulrich and Angelo Miller finished second through fourth with times of 9:53.41, 9:59.92 and 12:09.95.
 
Melanie Plecko took second in the women's 200-Meters and  third in the women's 100-Meters with times of 26.47 and 13.12.
 
Savannah Dennison finished third in the women's 1,500-Meter run with a time of 4:41.46.
 
Elizabeth Mason took third in the women's 100-Meter hurdles and fourth in the 200-Meters with times of 14.56 and 26.96.
 
Trey Woodley and Ezekiel Dunn finished third and fifth in the men's 400-Meters with time of 49.52 and 49.82.
 
Colton Hanlon took home third in the men's pole vault with a leap of 16-feet 2-inches.
 
Grant Dawson finished third in the high jump and fourth in the men's triple jump with leaps of 6-feet 7-inches and 42-feet 7.5-inches.
 
Laney Duff finished third overall in the women's high jump with a jump of 5-feet 3-inches. Makenna Oszust finished fifth in the event with a leap of 5-feet 1-inch.
 
Ryan McVicker finished fourth in the men's shot put with a toss of 50-feet 5.25-inches.
 
Makayla Sitzlar grabbed fourth in the women's shot put with a throw of 41-feet 2.25-inches.
 
Shanaray Kager finished fourth in the women's discus throw with a toss of 137-feet 1-inch.
 
Declarations of athletes will happen this weekend as the top 22 declared athletes will make the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Wisconsin La Crosse next Thursday through Saturday.
