Softball: Four Raiders Named to NFCA All-Region Teams

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Mount Union's softball team had four players named to National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Teams.

Senior Kendyll Cahill (Groveport / Groveport Madison) was named First Team, sophomore Allison Jones (Berlin Center / Western Reserve) was named second team and senior Sydney Mercer (Salem / West Branch) and freshman Addy Antonetz (Zanesville / West Muskingum) were both named Third Team.

Cahill played and started in 39 games this season for Mount Union and made 27 appearances in the circle. She recorded a 1.90 ERA, along with a 22-2 record and struck out 104 batters across 140.1 innings. Cahill also has a .402 batting average with 15 doubles, three home runs and 23 RBIs on the season. She was also named First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference earlier this season, was the OAC Pitcher of the Year and was named to the Most Outstanding Player at the Mount Union Regional this season.

Jones has played in all 40 games and started in 39 for the Purple Raiders this season. She's recorded a batting average of .423 with a double, five triples, 16 RBIs and 11 stolen bases on the season. Jones was also a First Team All-OAC selection earlier this season and was named to the Mount Union Regional All-Tournament Team.

Mercer has played and started in all 40 games for Mount Union this season and has posted a .410 batting average, with 13 doubles, four triples, two home runs, 30 RBIs and 19 stolen bases on the season. Mercer was also a First Team All-OAC selection this season and was named to the Mount Union Regional All-Tournament Team.

Antonetz also played and started in all 40 games for the Raiders this season. She recorded a .385 batting average with 11 doubles, a triple, six home runs and 45 RBIs on the season. Antonetz was also a First Team All-OAC selection this season and was also named to the Mount Union Regional All-Tournament Team.
