NEW CONCORD, OHIO—Mount Union's women's track and field team finished as the runner-up at the Ohio Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships hosted at Muskingum University on Thursday afternoon.
Mount Union finished with 208 points which was just four behind Ohio Northern who won with a total of 212.
Mount Union picked up four OAC victories on day two of the championship.
Cora Liskai and
Carlie Besecker took home first and second in the 400-Meters with Liskai running a 57.41 and Besecker running a 58.08.
Mount Union took the top two spots in the 1,500-Meters as
Savannah Dennison won the event with a time of 4:45.82 and
Marah Bethel finished second with a 4:49.35.
Taylor Hennessey won the 800-Meters with a time of 2:18.53 with
Callie Cyrus and Bethel finishing fifth and sixth with times of 2:20.82 and 2:23.37.
Hennessey, Cyrus, Liskai and Besecker came back to win the 4x400-Meter relay with a time of 3:58.33.

Mackenzie Davis,
Melanie Plecko and
Paula Incorvati earned All-OAC with a second place finish in the 4x100-Meter relay with a time of 48.77.
Laney Duff earned All-OAC honors with a second place finish in the high jump with a leap of 5-feet 4.5-inches.
Madeline Burgess finished as the OAC Runner-up in the triple jump with a leap of 36-feet 8.5-inches.
Incorvati came back in the 100-Meters earning All-OAC honors with a third place finish with a time of 12.31 while Alberts doubled back and grabbed eighth with a 12.80.
Elizabeth Mason earned All-OAC honors with a third place finish with a time of 14.79.
Avonlea Jefferson and Aanika Sommers took sixth and seventh with times of 15.26 and 15.56.
Dennison doubled back in the 5,000-Meters earning All-OAC with a 17:53.47 while
Ashley Cooper also doubled back from the 10K last night earning seventh with a 18:13.92.
Reese Osborn took home third overall earning All-OAC in the hammer throw with a toss of 151-feet 11-inches.
Liskai, Besecker and Incorvati finished fourth, seventh and eighth in the 200-Meters with times of 25.68, 26.44 and 26.54.
Makayla Sitzlar and
Makenna Rudy finished fourth and sixth overall in the shot put with distances of 41-feet 3.75-inches and 40-feet even.
Elizabeth Funkhouser and
Kristen Walters finished fourth and seventh in the 400-Meter hurdles with times of 1:06.26 and 1:09.14.
Ashley Eberhardt and
Ella McElwee finished seventh and eighth in the 400-Meters with a 59.84 and a 1:00.65.
Mount Union will now take a week off before starting last chance meets with a meet at Baldwin Wallace on Friday, May 8
th for the Harrison Dillard Twilight.
