GAMBIER, Ohio – Mount Union's women's soccer team lost a non-conference matchup 3-0 against Kenyon on Wednesday evening.
The Owls (2-1-2) would strike first when Mia Voustinas scored off a penalty kick in the 18
th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Kenyon would add to their lead in the 24
th minute when Rafaela Plasa found the back of the net to stretch the lead to two goals, then in the 27
th minute the Owls would add a third goal, this time Emily Copeland was able to find the back of the net making the lead three goals.
The Purple Raiders (1-3) wouldn't be able to answer over the remainder of the game as Kenyon would go on to win 3-0.
The Raiders are on the road again next when they travel to Wooster to take on the Fighting Scots on Saturday, September 19 at 4 p.m.
