Women's Soccer Suffers Defeat on Senior Day

(ALLIANCE, OH)--Mount Union College's women's soccer team (4-11-1; 1-6 OAC) was defeated 4-1 at home to Capital University (9-5-2; 4-3 OAC) in an Ohio Athletic Conference rivalry match Saturday in Mount Union Stadium in Alliance, Ohio.

It took Capital just one minute in the game to put its first goal on the board when forward Katie Robinson placed the ball past Mount Union's junior goal keeper Kaitlyn Mallernee (Dover/Dover).

Capital did most of their damage at the end of the first half when they scored in the 36th, 39th, and 43rd minute.

Mount Union's senior Jenn Scrimenti (Highland Heights/Gilmour Academy) scored her first goal of the season in the 79th minute of the game from 20 yards out. The Raiders would get no closer as Capital came away with the win 4-1.

The Raiders next travel to Carnegie Mellon University Sunday at 1 p.m. in Pennsylvania.
