(PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL)--Mount Union's softball team opened the 2010 season splitting a pair of games after a 4-0 win over Moravian (PA) and a 2-1 loss to Emerson (MA) Tuesday in Panama City Beach, Florida.

In a 4-0 win over Moravian, Alex Lucak (Maple Heights/Trinity) drove in two runs, Meghan Allen (Hartville/Lake) drove in a run on two hits while Anna Horning (Cuyahoga Falls/Woodridge) had an RBI double.

Bre Willis (Navarre/Fairless) then scattered four hits over seven innings for her first win of the season.

Emerson strung together four singles and scored a pair of runs in the second inning in a 2-1 win.

Mount Union's only run came on a solo home run from Mara Palombaro (Boardman/Cardinal Mooney).

The Purple Raiders play two more games Wednesday March 10th starting at 11am (CST) against Lake Forest (IL) followed by game two against Emerson (MA) at 1:30pm (CST) at Frank Brown Complex in Panama City Beach, Florida.
