ADRIAN, Mich. -- Mount Union's women's lacrosse team won its seventh straight game with a 14-10 win at Adrian Saturday in Adrian, Michigan.

The Purple Raiders are now 7-1 overall while Adrian falls to 2-5 on the season.

Emily Bergert (North Canton/Hoover) had four goals while Katherine Doraty (Medina/Medina) and Emily Sendker (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster Central) each had three goals to pace the Mount Union offense.

Taylor Pensyl (Kent/Kent Roosevelt) had five draw controls along with two goals while Casey McHenry (Hudson/Hudson) had four saves in goal for her sixth win of the season.

Adrian scored the game's first goal in 29 seconds to take a 1-0 lead before Pensyl, Doraty and Sendker all scored in a span of 44 seconds to put the Raiders up 3-0.

The Bulldogs tallied another goal at the 22:39 mark but Mount Union answered with a Pensyl free position shot goal 35 seconds later that sparked a 5-0 Raider surge to put them up 8-2 with four minutes left in the half.

Each team scored one more time as Mount Union led 9-3 at the break.

Adrian scored in the first two minutes of the second half to get to within 9-4 before the Raiders tacked on two more goals to lead 11-4 with just over 24 minutes left in the game.

The Bulldogs would score five of the next six goals as they would rally to make the score 12-9 in favor of Mount Union with 10 minutes left.

The Raiders scored with 8:25 left before Adrian tallied a final goal with six minutes left and Mount Union added a score in the game's final seconds for the 14-10 final.

Mount Union returns home to host Thiel (Pa.) Wednesday, April 2 at 4 pm at Mount Union Stadium.
