ALLIANCE, Ohio—Mount Union's women's basketball team travels to Heidelberg for their final road game of the regular season Saturday, Feb. 14 at 3:00 pm.

SCOUTING MOUNT UNION
The Purple Raiders (8-14, 4-11 OAC) are on a five-game skid dropping a 73-62 game to Marietta Wednesday. Mount Union is second in the conference in scoring (67.2) and leading the OAC in three-point percentage (37.0). Junior Annie Bova (Parma Heights/Beaumont) is second in the OAC in scoring, averaging 15.0 points per game while junior Katie Reed (Alliance/Marlington) is second on the team in scoring (8.7 ppg). Senior Chandler Moore (Girard, Pa./Girard) is leading the team averaging 5.3 boards per game and 2.4 assists per game.
SCOUTING HEIDELBERG
Heidelberg (9-13, 7-8 OAC) has lost three of the last four games including a 60-31 loss to Ohio Northern Saturday. The Student Princes have three players averaging double-digits with Theresa Jackson scoring 10.2 points per game and Paige Ricketts adding 10.1. Carli Patrick is leading the OAC in rebounds grabbing 11.3 per game while adding 10.1 points.
EARLIER THIS SEASON
The Student Princes went on a 5-0 run at the 9:39 mark gaining the largest lead of the first half –26-21. The half saw eight ties and 13 different lead changes before going into the break, 40-39, in favor of Heidelberg. Mount Union started the second half with a Bova three pointer to take a two point lead as the Raiders shot 42.6% from the three. A 9-2 run for Heidelberg sparked by a Dearth three, would give them the lead – 49-42—which they would hold for the remainder of the game as Heidelberg shot 59.2% from behind the arc and 66.7% from the floor. The Purple Raiders went on a 6-0 run to cut the lead to three—62-59—at the 5:47 mark before the Student Princes answered with a 9-2 run on their way to a 75-65 victory.
THE SERIES
This is the 65th meeting between the two schools with Mount Union holding a 33-31 lead in the all-time series.
THE COACHES
Suzy Venet (Mount Union '98) is in her ninth season as head coach at Mount Union. Venet played for the Purple Raiders and holds numerous school records, including most points in a season (587 in 1997-98), most career assists (843), career triple-doubles (10) and is fifth on the all-time scoring list (1,528 points). Since taking over, she brought the Raiders back to being one of the nation's top programs, three OAC Tournament titles, two OAC regular season titles, and three straight trips to the NCAA tournament including to the Sweet 16 in 2010 and 2012.
Morgan Shriver is entering her second season as head coach with a current record of 14-20 and 6-15 in the OAC. During her first season, she led the team to a 12-win season which was more than the previous three years combined.
