ALLIANCE, Ohio - The No. 19 Mount Union women's lacrosse team scored nine unanswered goals in the second half en route to a 21-7 win over Concordia (Wisc.) Saturday afternoon at Mount Union Stadium in Alliance.

The Purple Raiders (14-0, 4-0 OAC) were led by Katherine Doraty (Medina/Medina) who tied a season-high with six goals. Taylor Pensyl (Kent/Kent Roosevelt) and Susie Kraus (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) added three goals each in the win.

Casey McHenry (Hudson/Hudson) made a pair of saves in goal for the Raiders.

The Falcons (8-6, 6-0 MWLC) were led by Allison Kurek and Steph Berry who scored two goals apiece while Rebecca David made 14 saves in goal.

The game was tied early at 1-1 and 2-2 before Doraty and Kraus gave Mount Union a two goal advantage with 21:12 left in the first half.

The Raiders extended that lead later in the half with five consecutive goals to make the score 11-4 with 5:36 remaining before the break. Two Concordia goals sandwiched a Emily Sendker (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster Central) goal to make the Mount Union lead 12-6 going into the locker room.

Mount Union put the game away with nine unanswered goals in the second half to take a 21-6 lead. Concordia scored the last goal of the game to make the final tally 21-7.

The women's lacrosse team will host John Carroll in their final regular season home game on Wednesday, April 22 at 7:00 pm in Alliance.
