Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio - The No. 18 Mount Union women's lacrosse team advanced to their second consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference championship game with a 11-4 win over Ottterbein Wednesday night at Mount Union Stadium in Alliance.
The Purple Raiders (17-0) were led by Taylor Pensyl (Kent/Kent Roosevelt) who scored four goals while Susie Kraus (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) and Marjie McNamara (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park) each added three goals.
Casey McHenry (Hudson/Hudson) made four saves in goal to run her record to 10-0 on the season.
Otterbein (8-7) was led by Annie Kelly who scored two goals and handed out an assist in the loss.
Pensyl got the scoring started with her first goal less than a minute into the game. Otterbein came back to tie the game 1-1 at the 19:24 mark.
The Raiders added four more goals in the first half, two by Kraus, to lead 5-1 at the break.
Mount Union opened the second half with three goals to extend the lead to 8-1. Otterbein made a final push with three consecutive goals to cut the lead to 8-4 but the Raiders put the game away with three goals to make the final count 11-4.
The women's lacrosse team will play the winner of No. 2 seed John Carroll and No. 3 seed Baldwin Wallace for the OAC Championship at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 2 at Mount Union Stadium.
