BEREA, Ohio - The No. 20 Mount Union women's lacrosse team used a 13-goal second half to pull away from Baldwin Wallace 18-8 in an Ohio Athletic Conference game on Wednesday.

The Purple Raiders (11-0, 2-0 OAC) were led by Katherine Doraty (Medina/Medina) who scored five goals, four of which came in the second half. Susie Kraus (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) and Emily Sendker (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster Central) added four goals each in the win.

Casey McHenry (Hudson/Hudson) made seven saves in goal for the Raiders.

Baldwin Wallace (4-4, 1-1 OAC) was led by Kayla Miller who scored three goals and had an assist while Amanda Getto made 11 saves in the loss.

Kraus scored the first goal of the game but Baldwin Wallace quickly answered with three goals to take a 3-1 lead with 21:33 left in the half. Mount Union scored the next four goals, two by Sendker, to retake the lead 5-2. The Yellow Jackets scored the last goal of the half with 2:40 to make the score 5-4 at the half.

The two teams traded goals to start the second half before the Raiders rattled off five unanswered goals to take an 11-5 lead with 17:42 to play. 

The Raiders put the game out of reach with six straight goals later in the half to make the score 18-7 with under 2:00 remaining. Baldwin Wallace scored a meaningless goal at the end to make the final score 18-8.

The women's lacrosse team trys to remain unbeaten against OAC rival Otterbein on Saturday, April 11 at 1:00 pm in Westerville, Ohio.
