ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union freshman Danielle Rohrman (Olney, Md./Sherwood) scored the game-winning goal in overtime to defeat John Carroll 14-13 in the semifinals of the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Tournament Wednesday evening at Mount Union Stadium. 

The Purple Raiders improve to 12-3 overall and advance to the conference championship game for a fourth straight season. Mount Union will host No. 2 seed Baldwin Wallace -- a 9-8 overtime winner over No. 3 seed Capital -- Saturday at a time to be announced.

Rohrman scored the game-winning goal with 1:21 remaining in the three-minute overtime period, for her third goal of the game.

Junior Katie Elder (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park) tallied four goals in the contest to lead the Raiders, while sophomore Alyssa Rydell (Medina/Medina) notched three. 

The Blue Streaks (11-5) struck less than a minute into the game to take a 1-0 lead. Sophomore Ashley Bernardi (Medina/Medina) tied the game less than a minute later while a man-down, but John Carroll took a 2-1 lead 19 seconds after that.

Mount Union then scored seven more goals in the half, four of which came from Elder, while the Blue Streaks tallied six scores of their own to tie the game at 8-8 at the break. 

Mount Union fell two goals behind the Blue Streaks in the opening minutes of the second half, but back-to-back goals by Rydell tied the game at 10 with 15:33 left in regulation. The Raiders trailed 13-11 with just under eight minutes to play before Rydell and Bernardi scored two goals to gridlock the game at 13 points at the end of regulation. 

Rohrman found the ball behind John Carroll's goal just over halfway through the overtime period before rolling the crease and slipping the ball past John Carroll's Elyssa Zablo to secure the win for the Raiders.
