Raiders Still First after Day Two

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Mount Union women's swimming and diving team remained in first through day two of the Wooster Invitational with a score of 1050.

The Raiders are leading second place Wooster, who has a team score of 938, by 112 points. Ohio Northern sits in third with 845.5.

  • 200-yard medley relay: fourth place finish with a time of 1:51.51, the team consisted of freshmen Ava Breton (Cheshire, Conn.) and AnneMarie Trench (Sterling, Va. / Home school), sophomore Maddie Horrigan (Hudson) and senior Aurelia Incristi (Rockwall, Texas)
  • 400-yard individual medley: senior Callie Landry (Broussard, La. / Teurlings Catholic) finished sixth with a time of 4:59.93 and freshman Emma Kreber (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) finished seventh with a time of 5:00.48
  • 100-yard butterfly: Horrigan finished fourth with a time of 59.87
  • 200-yard freestyle: Incristi finished second with a time of 1:58.35, junior Alexis Schuller (Middleburg Heights / Berea-Midpark) finished fourth with a time of 2:00.28 and junior Ziv Marco (Buffalo Grove, Ill. / Adlai E. Stevenson) finished seventh with a time of 2:02.74
  • 100-yard breaststroke: Trench finished fifth with a time of 1:11.50
  • 100-yard backstroke: Breton finished seventh with a time of 1:03.24
  • 800-yard freestyle relay: third place finish with a time of 8:15.56, the team consisted of Marco, Schuller, Breton and Incristi
  • One-meter dive: freshman Mia Marciano (Austintown / Fitch) finished third with a score of 279.35

The Raiders return to action tomorrow for the final day of the Wooster Invitational at Wooster High School, with prelims starting at 10 a.m., followed by diving at 2 p.m. and finals will be at 5 p.m.
