WESTERVILLE, Ohio. – The Mount Union men's track and field team won its 10th straight All-Ohio Championship winning six events Saturday afternoon and having a NCAA Division III leading jump in the Pole Vault.
The Purple Raiders scored 186.5 points good for a 75.5-point victory over second place Ohio Northern.
Junior
Kyel Wolff (Cleveland / Cuyahoga Heights) won the pole vault with a nation leading height of 16-feet 10-inches.
The men's high jump crew took the top three spots with senior
Evan Hershberger (Dalton) winning with a jump of 6-feet 6.25-inches while sophomore
Elijah Cobb (Mansfield / St. Peter's) and freshman
Pieter Wise (Attica / Seneca East)) finished second and tied for third.
Freshman Brandon Paige (Youngstown / Young Valley Christian) grabbed the victory in the 60-meters in a time of 6.98 while fellow freshman Aiden Malloy (League City, Tx. / Clear Springs) finished third (7.03).
Senior
Brody Coleman (Knox, Pa. / Keystone) won the triple jump with a jump of 47-feet 6.5-inches.
The men's 4x200-meter relay team consisting of seniors
Zack Munchick(Westfield Center / Cloverleaf) and
Tyler Gill (Greenville, Pa. / Reynolds) along with junior
Jared Storm (Barberton) and sophomore
Josh Fouche (Cuyahoga Falls / Walsh Jesuit) won with a time of 1:30.40.
Storm picked up an individual win in the 400-meters in a time of 49.33 while junior
Matthew McBride finished third overall (50.30).
Hershberger followed the high jump win up with a second-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 22-feet 7.25-inches.
Sophomore
Vincent Giumenti (Dover) finished second overall in the mile with a time of 4:16.87.
Junior
Aaron Blevins (Windham) finished runner-up in the heptathlon with a score of 3,916 points.
Sophomore
Dominic Deshuk (Amherst / Steele) and senior
Carson Troyer (Sugarcreek / Garaway) grabbed second (8.39) and third (8.49) in the 60-meter hurdles.
Deshuk teamed up with senior
Jacob Moser (Malvern), junior
Josh Momeyer (Livonia, Mi. / Churchill) and freshman Aiden Schaffer (Heath) to finish third in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:29.47.
The Raiders host next Saturday, February 19th with the Raider Tune-Up.
