WOOSTER, Ohio— The Mount Union men's track and field team won two events while adding five top 21 NCAA Division III marks Saturday afternoon at the Wooster Invitational.
Ryder Greenwood and
Josiah Hunter went 1-2 in the 100-Meters with time of 10.58 and 10.62 which is ranked tied for 15
th and tied for 21
st.
Brayden Shinault also grabbed fifth place with a time of 10.88.
Nick Franitti won the 400-Meter hurdles with a time of 54.68 which is 21st in Division III. Kayden Tackett and Jacob Jarett finished third and fifth in the race with time of 55.80 and 57.15.
Franitti also finished second overall in the 110-Meter hurdles with a time of 14.71.
Shinault teamed up with
Troy Combs, Donnovan Geiger, and
Trey Woodley finished second in the 4x100-Meter relay with a time of 41.45 which is currently 11th in Division III.
Josiah Adams took third in the 400-Meters running a time of 49.40.
Grant Dawson grabbed fourth in the high jump with a leap of 6-feet 4-inches.
Josh Huzyak finished fourth overall in the steeple chase with a time of 10:50.91.
Colton Hanlon tied for fifth in the pole vault with a jump of 15-feet 6.5-inches.
Luke Ryan grabbed fifth overall in the 1,500-Meters with a time of 4:03.36.
Dane Riley finished fifth in the 800-Meters with a time of 1:57.47.
Ryan McVicker finished sixth in the shot put with a toss of 52-feet 4-inches which ranks him 21st in Division III.
Mount Union returns home this next weekend hosting the
John Homon Open on Friday and Saturday.
