CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Mount Union senior libero Steven Grenier (Hawthorn Woods, Ill. / Lake Zurich) has been named the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) Defensive Player of the Week (2/21).
 
Grenier helped the Purple Raider start conference play 2-0 defeating Olivet (Mich.) 25-17, 25-12 and 25-21 and then beating Adrian (Mich.) in a 5-set thriller 31-29, 25-18, 23-25, 21-25 and 15-12.
 
It marked the third time in his career Grenier won the award and the first this season.
 
Mount Union (3-7, 2-0 MCVL) is back in action Wednesday, Feb. 23 with a match at Hiram College at 7 p.m.
