NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's track and field team picked up eight victories at the Walsh Invitational on Thursday afternoon.
Seniors
Tanner Slack (New Concord / John Glenn) and
Evan Hershberger (Dalton) continued to soar in the high jump as they finished first and second with heights of 6-feet 9-inches and 6-feet 5-inches. That ties Slacks season high which is currently fourth in Division III.
Slack picked up a victory in the triple jump as well with a distance of 44-feet 3.25-inches.
Kennady Gibbins (Navarre / Fairless) won the 400 Meter hurdles in a time of 1:04.78 with teammate
Julia Henderson (Twinsburg) taking second place with a time of 1:12.35.
Gibbins also picked up victories in high jump and long jump with a height of 5-feet 3.25-inches and distance of 17-feet 4-inches.
Cortni Arp (Copley) won the 400 Meters with a time of 58.27.
Danaysha Mauzy (Cortland / Lakeland) picked up the victory in the 200 Meters with a time of 25.45.
Drake Willenborg (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon East) grabbed a victory in the discus with a toss of 155-feet 9-inches.
Mount Union will have the men's and women's 4x400-Meter relay at the Penn Relays tomorrow at Philadelphia, Pa.
