ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's track and field team picked up three victories including three top 10 national marks at the
John Homon Open Thursday Afternoon at Mount Union Stadium.
Matthew McBride (Conneaut) grabbed a victory in the 400 Meters running 48.09 which sits second in Division III.
Tanner Slack (New Concord / John Glenn) continues to improve his height in the high jump winning the meet with a jump of 6-feet 9-inches and now sits third in NCAA Division III.
Evan Hershberger (Dalton) finished third in the high jump with a height of 6-feet 6.75-inches which ties his height from last week which is tied for seventh in Division III.
Zack Munchick (Westfield Center / Cloverleaf) won the 200 Meters in 22.54 just .01 ahead of teammate
Tyler Gill (Greenville, Pa. / Reynolds) who finished second in the 200 Meters and then ran 49.40 in the 400 Meters finishing third overall.
Vincent Giumenti (Dover) picked up a second-place finish in the 800 Meters with a time of 1:55.06.
Alex Bryan (Geneva) finished third in the 1,500 Meter run in a time of 4:03.41.
Benny Shaffer (Streetsboro) took third overall with a time of 57.13 in the 400 Meter hurdles.
There will be two events contested in the Hammer throw and Javelin throw tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Alliance to complete the meet.
The Raiders head to Tiffin next Friday and Saturday April 15th and 16th for the Tiffin Invitational.
