GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Mount Union senior pitcher Dwayne Sumler (Indianapolis, Ind. / Warren Central) was named to the Rawlings / American Baseball Coaches Association All-Region 7 Second Team.

Sumler made 12 appearances on the mound and had a 5-2 record with 81 strikeouts and a 3.51 earned run average. He was an All-Ohio Athletic Conference first team selection, on the OAC's All-Tournament Team and was the conference pitcher of the week on May 2. Against Capital, he had a career-high and school single-game record 14 strikeouts.

Mount Union went 23-19 overall and finished fourth in the OAC in 2022.
