BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania—Mount Union's men's cross-country team finished ahead of two top 30 nationally ranked teams Saturday afternoon at the Paul Short Run Presented by Asics.
Mount Union finished 10th overall as a team just 19 points behind No. 8 Nationally ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps while No. 18 Nationally ranked SUNY Geneseo picked up the victory. Mount Union beat No. 25 Rowan and No. 30 Brockport State by 62 and 83 points.
Stephen Ulrich (Louisville) led the charge finishing 21st overall with a time of 25:09.2
Nick Wong (Akron / Hoban) and
Alex Reese (Geneva) finished 33rd and 49th overall with times of 25:17.4 and 25:27.5.
Liam Blake (Alliance / Marlington) and
Jake Parkhurst (Medina) rounded out the scoring finishing 90th and 127th respectively with times of 26:00.1 and 26:23.6.
Jason Hammar (Canfield) and Matthew Tschantz (Canton / GlenOak) finished out the top seven with times of 26:35.8 and 26:54.6 taking 153rd and 188th respectively.
Mount Union now will head to the Mike Woods Invitational hosted by SUNY Geneseo at the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo, N.Y.
