Women's Swimming: Raiders Grab Dual Meet Win Over Westminster

BEAVER, Pa. – Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team beat Westminster 178-107 in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon.

Top Finishers
  • One-meter dive: sophomore Claire Fried (Kent / Kent Roosevelt) won the event with a score of 195.35
  • 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of junior Ava Breton (Cheshire, Conn.), freshman Hannah Royer (Bristow, Va. / Patriot), sophomore Erika Fogarty (Dimondale, Mich. / Holt) and junior Emily Hauck (Avon Lake) won the event with a time of 1:57.83
  • 1000-yard freestyle: junior Emma Kreber (Cranberry Twp., Pa. / Seneca Valley) won the event with a time of 11:15.43
  • 200-yard freestyle: sophomore Isabelle Parr (Brunswick) won the event with a time of 2:02.80
  • 100-yard backstroke: sophomore Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark) won the event with a time of 1:02.90 and sophomore Jordyn Miller (Strongsville) finished second with a time of 1:06.50
  • 100-yard breaststroke: Royer finished second with a time of 1:14.13
  • 200-yard butterfly: sophomore Nina Veldt (Holland, Mich.) won the event with a time of 2:23.28 and sophomore Kayla Stewart (Marietta) finished second with a time of 2:23.28
  • 50-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 25.68
  • 100-yard freestyle: Parr won the event with a time of 56.57
  • 200-yard backstroke: freshman Reagan Durbin (Dover) won the event with a time of 2:20.09
  • 200-yard breaststroke: freshman Julia Basista (Youngstown / Boardman) won the event with a time of 2:41.02 and Royer finished second with a time of 2:41.76
  • 500-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 5:24.06
  • 100-yard butterfly: Veldt won the event with a time of 1:03.88 and Parr finished second with a time of 1:04.81
The Raiders are back in action on Wednesday, February 14 for the first day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship at Ocasek Natatorium in Akron, Ohio.
