Softball: Seven Raiders Selected to All-OAC Teams

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Mount Union's softball team had had seven players named to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference Teams.

Sophomores Kendyll Cahill (Grove Port / Grove Port Madison), Sydney Mercer (Salem / West Branch) and Faith Reicosky (North Canton / Hoover) were all named First Team. Sophomore Kaitlyn Culver (Girard) was named second team, with junior Adri George (Eastlake / North), sophomore Chloe Bird (Norton) and freshman Kyndall Hahn (Garrettsville / James Garfield) all being named Honorable Mention.

Cahill played and started in all 40 games for the Purple Raiders this season. She batted .443 with a 115 at-bats, she hit 11 doubles, five triples, five homeruns and had 35 RBIs, she also recorded three stolen bases. Cahill also made 20 starts and 22 appearances in the circle for Mount Union this season, she recorded a 2.00 ERA over 126 innings, recorded 126 strikeouts, held opponents to a .227 batting average and had a 16-4 record. She was also named the OAC Pitcher of the Week twice this season.

Mercer also has played and started in all 40 games for Mount Union this season. She had a 134 at-bats and hit .448 with 11 doubles, five triples, seven homeruns and 43 RBIs, she also recorded 29 stolen bases on the season. Mercer was also named the OAC Hitter of the Week once this season.

Reicosky has played and started in 38 games for the Raiders this season. She recorded a .459 batting average with 98 at-bats, she recorded two doubles and 14 RBIs and also had 14 stolen bases and on on-base percentage .518.

Culver has played in 37 games and started 29 this season for Mount Union. She batted .408 in 71 at-bats with five doubles, one triple, one homerun, 12 RBIs and recorded 21 stolen bases.

George has also played and started in all 40 games this season. She recorded a .385 batting average with 122 at-bats and had 12 doubles, one triple and had 39 RBIs. George also recorded a fielding percentage of .996.

Bird made 17 appearances and 13 starts in the circle for the Raiders this season. She recorded a 12-2 record, 1.59 ERA, 55 strikeouts and held opponents to a .212 batting average across 79.1 innings. Bird was also named the OAC Pitcher of the Week once this season.

Hahn played and started in 38 games this season for Mount Union. She had 94 at-bats and recorded a .394 batting average with three doubles, 16 RBIs and had 19 stolen bases.
