Saturday's Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) game features the top two scoring teams in the conference. No. 2 nationally ranked Mount Union remained undefeated with a 62-7 dominant homecoming win over Otterbein last week, its most points scored in a game since last year's homecoming win against this week's opponent Wilmington (78-19) - the 78 points rank second in program history. The Quakers started the 2025 season strong with a 59-35 home win over Wooster; however, have lost three straight OAC contests since, despite being second in the league in scoring, averaging 41.0 points per game. The Purple Raiders rank first in the OAC in scoring, averaging 47.5 points per contest. The Raiders are 26-0 all-time against Wilmington, including 13 shutouts. Mount has only given up more than a touchdown twice against Wilmington (W, 65-9 in 2006 and 78-19 in 2024). The Raiders have averaged 60.7 points per game vs. the Quakers. The first meeting was on Nov. 9, 1968, at Wilmington - the Raiders, under head coach Ken Wable, won in shutout fashion, 43-0 - the most points Mount scored in a game that season.
