KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Mount Union junior
Alex Depperschmidt (Mansfield / Lexington) has been named a United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Second Team All-American.
Depperschmidt played and started in 18 games for the Purple Raiders this season, he led the team in goals with 13 and points with 31 while also recording five assists. Depperschmidt was also named First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference, OAC Defender of the Year, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III First Team All-Region VII earlier this season.
Depperschmidt becomes the seventh player in program history to be named an All-American and this marks the third consecutive season that Mount Union has had a player named to an All-American team.
This year's All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pa., in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
