ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union juniors
Alex Depperschmidt (Mansfield / Lexington) and
Dom Kustura (Willowick / Eastlake North), sophomore
Amir Spratt (Kent / Kent Roosevelt) and seniors
Zander Plizga (Gibsonia, Pa. / Hampton) and
Reese Utter (Dover) all earned Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association All-Ohio Honors.
Depperschmidt was named First Team NCAA Division III All-Ohio and First Team NCAA Division III Academic All-Ohio. He played in 19 games and started in 18 for the Purple Raiders this season, he led the team in goals with 13 and points with 31, while adding five assists. Depperschmidt is a finance and accounting major with a 3.83 GPA and was a First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, the OAC Defender of the Year, a First Team United Soccer Coaches All-Region VII selection, a USC Second Team All-American and was named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and Academic All-OAC.
Kustura was named Second Team NCAA Division III All-Ohio. He played in all 20 games for Mount Union this season and started in 18, he led the team with eight assists, was second in points with 22 and third in goals scored with seven. Kustura was also a First Team All-Ohio selection and was a Third Team USC All-Region VII selection this season.
Spratt was also a Second Team NCAA Division III All-Ohio selection. He played in all 20 games and started 18 for the Raiders this season, he was second on the team in goals scored with eight, third in assists with five and third in points with 21. Spratt was also a First Team All-OAC selection and a Third Team USC All-Region VII selection.
Utter was a First Team NCAA Division III Academic All-Ohio selection. He played and started in 18 games for Mount Union this season, he scored six goals and had an assist on the season. Utter is an exercise science major with a 3.88 GPA, he was a Second Team All-OAC selection, named CSC Academic All-District and Academic All-OAC this season.
Plizga was a Second Team NCAA Division III Academic All-Ohio selection. He played and started in all 20 games for the Raiders this season, he was second on the team with six assists and also scored two goals this season. Plizga is a sports business major with a 3.96 GPA, he was a Third Team All-OAC selection, named CSC Academic All-District and Academic All-OAC this season.
