Women's Swimming: Raiders Move Into Second After Second Day at Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio – Mount Union's women's swimming and diving team finished in second place after the second day at the Wooster Invitational on Friday evening.

The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 927 which is 43 points ahead of third place Frostburg State. Wooster leads the event with a team score of 928.5.

Top Finishers
  • 200-yard medley relay: team consisting of freshman AJ Sliman (Amherst / Marion L. Steele), sophomore Riley McCombs (New Middletown / Springfield Local), senior Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark), senior Isabelle Parr (Brunswick) won the event with a time of 1:49.61
  • 100-yard butterfly: Parr finished third with a time of 59.23
  • 200-yard freestyle: Calaway won the event with a time of 1:55.09
  • 100-yard breaststroke: McCombs finished in second with a time of 1:06.63
  • 800-yard freestyle relay: team consisting of Parr, freshman Chloe Parr (Brunswick), McCombs and Calaway finished third with a time of 8:05.52

The Raiders are back in action tomorrow for the final day of the Wooster Invitational at Wooster High School with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. followed by diving at 2 p.m. and finals at 5 p.m.
