DANVILLE, Va. – Mount Union senior Bryce McCloskey (Greenville, PA / Reynolds) will represent the Purple Raiders on the highest stage of collegiate wrestling as he finished runner-up at 197 at the NCAA Division III Region IV on Saturday.

McCloskey, who earned his career-best finish at regionals, is making is second-straight trip to the NCAAs.

Junior Nolan Frye (Valley View, OH / Walsh Jesuit) at 133 and sophomore Steven Marra (Salem, Ohio / West Branch) at 285 both finished fourth. Frye and Marra were both one win away from qualifying for Nationals, however, both lost by decision in tight matches.

Freshman Josh Carman (Carrollton, OH / Carrollton) placed fifth at 149, while classmate Ridge Barkley (Morral, OH / Marion Harding) placed eighth at 141. 

As a team, Mount Union finished 7th out of 20 teams with 77.0 points and five All-Region honorees.
 
The 2024 NCAA Division III National Championships will start on Friday, March 14 in Providence, Rhode Island at the Amica Mutual Pavilion with a 10 a.m. start.
