DOVER, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in second place after the first round of the Wooster Gatorade Collegiate at Zoar Village Golf Course on Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 295 which has them in a tie for second place and are only two strokes back of Wooster, who leads the event.
Junior
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) fired a 71 to lead the way for Mount Union and has him in a tie for second overall. Freshman
Austin Wilhoit (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) also sits in the top 10, finishing in a tie for sixth after firing a 72. Freshmen
Jase Libb (Beloit / West Branch) and
Austin Mariani (Kinsman / Badger) rounded out the Raiders team score by carding a 74 and 78 respectively.
The Raiders are back in action again tomorrow for the final round of the Wooster Gatorade Collegiate at Zoar Village Golf Course in Dover.
