TIFFIN, Ohio—The Mount Union women's track and field team picked up three OAC titles Friday night at day one of the Ohio Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships.
Mount Union currently sits in second with 64 points just 12 behind the leader in Ohio Northern with 76.
The team of
Marah Bethel,
Ella McElwee,
Gabby D'Amico and
Savannah Dennison won the Distance Medley Relay with a time of 12:35.65.
Taylor Hennessey won the 500-Meters run with a time of 1:17.83 while teammates
Kristen Walters (1:21.12) and Julia Armogida (1:21.73) finished sixth and seventh respectively.
Maddie Eldrigde won the long jump with a leap of 17-feet 9.75-inches with teammate
Faith Blitz took eighth with a jump of 17-feet .75-inches.
Cora Liskai earned All-OAC honors finishing second in the 400-Meters with a time of 59.56.
Carlie Besecker (1:00.69),
Ashley Eberhardt (1:01.70) and McElwee (1:01.87) finished fourth, sixth and seventh.
Ashley Cooper and
Zoe Seabeck finished fifth and sixth respectively with times of 18:38.27 and 18:45.62.
Jessica Mason grabbed sixth overall in the pole vault with a leap of 11-feet 3-inches.
Mount Union had three qualifiers to the finals of the 60-Meter hurdles with Aanika Sommers,
Avonlea Jefferson and
Ashley Cockrell while
Paula Incorvati advanced to the finals in the 60-Meter dash.
Mount Union will be back in action on Day 2 of the OAC Track and Field Championships tomorrow with field events beginning at 10 AM and running starting at 2:30 PM.
