ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in second place after the first round of the Mount Union Spring Invitational at Tannenhauf G.C. on Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 298, which is just two shots back of first place John Carroll.
Freshman
Austin Mariani (Kinsman / Badger) led the way for Mount Union, finishing with a 72 which has him in a tie for the lead. Freshman
Austin Wilhoit (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) also carded a round in the 70s, shooting a 74. Freshman
Vincent Borros (Strongsville) and freshman
Jase Libb (Beloit / West Branch) rounded out the Raiders team score, shooting 75 and 77 respectively.
The Raiders are back in action again tomorrow for the final round of the Mount Union Spring Invitational at Tannenhauf G.C. in Alliance.
