ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in second place following the final round of the Mount Union Spring Invitational at Tannenhauf G.C. on Sunday afternoon.

The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 603 (298-305) which was three strokes ahead of third place John Carroll. Heidelberg won the event with a team score of 600 (304-296).

Freshman Austin Mariani (Kinsman / Badger) led the way for Mount Union, carding a 75 in round two and bringing his 36-hole score to 147 and had him in a tie for first overall. Freshman Vincent Borros (Strongsville) finished with a 36-hole score of 151 (75-76), while junior Brian Myers (Wadsworth) and freshman Austin Wilhoit (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) rounded out the Raiders team score with a 152 (77-75) and 153 (74-79) respectively.

The Raiders are back in action again tomorrow for the Washington and Jefferson Invitational at South Pointe G.C. in Canonsburg, Pa.
