WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in fourth place after the first round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship at River Greens G.C. on Friday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 294 which is just one stroke back of third place Otterbein. Marietta leads the event with a team score of 287.
Freshman
Austin Wilhoit (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) led the way for Mount Union in round one and currently sits in second place overall after carding a 70. Sophomore
Jase Libb (Beloit / West Branch) also carded a round in the 70s, finishing with a 73, while junior
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) and freshman
Austin Mariani (Kinsman / Badger) rounded out the Raiders team score with a 75 and 76 respectively.
The Raiders are in action again tomorrow for the second round of the OAC Championship at River Greens G.C. in West Lafayette.
