Fellow juniors in first baseman Dan Henderson (Canton/GlenOak) and Ty Wood (Hudson/Hudson) along with sophomore second baseman Mike Griffith (Louisville/East Canton) each drove in three runs as 10 different Raiders got hits on the day.

Mount Union also got another solid outing on the mound, this time from sophomore Beau Smith (Frederick, MD/Frederick) who after surrendering five runs all with two outs over the first two innings scattered three hits over the next three scoreless innings of work to pick up the win.

The game was tied at 5-5 after three innings before Mount Union blasted through with an eight run fifth inning.  In the frame, the first two runners reached and a ground out left runners at second and third.  With first base open, the Bobcats decided to intentionally walked Connor Nell (Powell/Olentangy) then Alan Krontz (Kent/Field) drove in two runs on a single, after that the next eight Raiders reached on an error, two walks and five hits.  When the dust finally settled eight runs had crossed the plate and Mount Union had a 13-5 lead.
