KENT, Ohio -- Mount Union junior Sam Ludgood (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) won the triple jump and finished third in the long jump at the Kent State Open at Kent State University.

Ludgood had a mark of 48-10.25 in the triple jump and 22-6.5 in the long jump to lead the Purple Raiders at the unscored meet.

Freshman Rory Juhn (Fairview Park/Fairview) was second in the high jump at 6-6.75 while junior Levi Simmons (Uniontown/Lake) was fifth (21-8.75) in the long jump.

Mount Union will be back in action Jan. 19 at the Spire Open in Geneva, Ohio.
