ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The No. 25 ranked Mount Union's men's track and field team got wins from Mitchell Kalning (Greensburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe) in the pole vault and Brandon Campbell (Stahlstown, Pa./Ligonier Valley) in the javelin on day one of the John Homon Invitational at Mount Union Stadium.
Kalning set a personal best and posted the ninth best mark in NCAA Division III so far this season as he won the pole vault with a mark of 15-4.25.
Campbell won the javelin with a mark of 166-08.
The meet resumes on Saturday at 10 am.
