Columbia Station, Ohio--Mount Union's women's golf team started off the 2018 season in first place shooting a 339 after day one of the Baldwin Wallace Fall Invite at Mallard Creek Golf club.
The Purple Raiders were led by junior Rachel Markle (Solon/Solon) who ended the day tied for third after shooting an 82. Junior Morgan Stubbendieck (Akron/Hoban) finished day one in sixth after recording an 84.
Sophomore Brianna Potts (Apple Creek/Waynedale) tallied an 86 and currently stands tied for seventh after day one. Gianna Flasco (Stow/Stow) finished with an 87 on the day.
The tournament finishes with 18 holes on Sunday, September 2 from Mallard Creek Golf club.
