SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Mount Union's track and field teams posted three provisional qualifying marks for the NCAA Championships Friday at the Slippery Rock Last Chance Meet at Slippery Rock University.

On the men's side, throwers Sean Sherman (Franklin / Bishop Fenwick) and Lucas Cooper (Hanoverton / United Local) had two of those NCAA provisional marks in event wins. Sherman threw the shot put 54-feet, 10-inches, which is currently seventh-best in NCAA Division III while Cooper sits ninth in the discus with a season-best mark of 166-feet, five-inches.

The other NCAA provisional mark came from women's sprinter Cortni Arp (Copley) who posted a time of 57.20 in winning the 400 meters. It is 14th on the NCAA Division III performance list at this time.

One other highlight came from men's 4x100 meter relay team of Darian Littlejohn (Fulton, Md. / Reservoir), Zack Munchick (Westfield Center / Cloverleaf), Malik Britt (Bossier City, La. / Airline) and AJ Digby (Tontogany / Otsego) who ran a season-best time of 41.84.

The Raiders will compete next week at the Harrison Dillard Twilight meet at Baldwin Wallace in Berea.
