Box Score NEW WILMINGTON, Pennsylvania—The Mount Union men's lacrosse team fell on the road 11-8 to Westminster (Pa.) Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders (1-3) were led on offense by
Logan Gebhart (McDonald, Pa. / Canon-McMillian) with two goals and two assists while Conner Addison (Mishawaka, Ind. / South Bend) scored two goals and had one assist.
In goal for the Raiders
Logan Gundermann (Hamburg, N.Y. / Hamburg)) made 11 saves.
Westminster (1-3) was led by Nick Hubner who scored six goals.
Westminster struck first in the game but Mount Union responded with a goal just 1:25 later. Westminster however scored the next three goals to take a 4-1 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Mount Union got the first goal of the second quarter, but Westminster responded with a 3-1 run to end the quarter leading 7-3 at the half.
The third quarter Westminster extended its lead to 11-5 after three quarters of play thanks to a 4-2 third quarter.
Mount Union pushed for a comeback the final quarter outscoring Westminster 3-0 but was not enough.
Mount Union will return to play next Saturday at noon with a game against Washington and Jefferson in Washington, Pa.
